Young chinese couple, proprietors of The Happy Garden chinese takeaway, pictured outside Clerkin family home
What is happening in the photo?
This young couple were the proprietors of the chinese takeaway, that was established in the early 1980s next door to Clerkin’s bicycle shop. They were visiting the Clerkin family when this picture was taken. They had a polaroid camera that fascinated the Clerkin children, because of the instant images it produced. The Clerkin family album contains some polaroid shots of the children that they took for them.
